The Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation has issued an order recognising the Dubai International Arbitration Centre (DIAC) as a permanent arbitral institution (PAI) authorised to operate within the territory of the Russian Federation.
This decision entitles DIAC to administer international commercial disputes involving Russian parties directly within the Russian legal framework. From the perspective of international arbitration practice, the recognition is viewed as an expansion of Russia’s arbitral landscape and a further step towards strengthening its role in the cross-border resolution of commercial disputes.
