Poizon LLC registered trademarks of the same name and an online store with the same name. The real Poizon began operating in Russia in 2025 and has been battling a local competitor in court ever since.
In the lawsuit, the Chinese company proved that it was well-known in Russia long before entering the local market and before the Russian counterpart began operating in 2022. In the spring, the court overturned the Poizon trademark registration by the Russian side, but several trademarks remain valid.
Alexandra Kuznetsova, a lawyer in Nordic Star’s Dispute Resolution practice, commented on the news for Shopper’s.
