Italy’s largest bank, Intesa Sanpaolo, will no longer accept payments in euros from Russian banks, with the exception of its own subsidiary in Russia, Intesa. In December, Intesa informed its clients and counterparties, sources at two domestic banks told Vedomosti. Intesa’s representatives in Milan confirmed the decision to law firm O2 Consulting, according to Olga Sorokina, the firm’s managing partner.
