Brand Under Monopolia Umbrella Enters Trademark Battle / Comment / Delovoy Peterburg

Monopolia Limited Liability Company, part of the Monopolia Group of Companies, has filed six applications with the Intellectual Rights Court. The company is challenging Rospatent’s refusals to register new trademarks and the Patent Office’s refusals to accept Monopolia’s objections to the registration of others’ similarly spelt trademarks.

Vera Zotova, a Senior Associate in the Intellectual Property and Information Technology Practice at Nordic Star Law Offices, commented to Delovoy Peterburg newspaper on which companies are particularly keen to protect themselves from unlawful competition.
