Blocking accounts: how banks are changing their approach to independ agents / Comment / Vedomosti

Banks actively block the accounts of legal entities which provide payment agent services to third parties.

This practice is no longer a rarity in the financial market. However, in order to unblock their accounts, independent agents now have to join a pool of banks’ own agents and pay a commission on each transaction. This creates additional difficulties for business.

Andrei Gusev, Senior Partner at Nordic Star, spoke about the possible reasons behind the trend of blocking accounts of independent agents.
