Rustam Abdrakhmanov resides in Almaty and advises on the Transactions, Corporate and Commercial Law practice area of Nordic Star Law Offices.

Rustam provides consultations to clients on entering the market of the Republic of Kazakhstan, running a business in the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as on corporate and commercial issues of Kazakh law. Rustam's experience includes participation in M&A transactions — the acquisition of a private bank in the Republic of Turkey — as well as in subsoil use, finance (brokerage and dealership activities, managing investment portfolios and insurance), and participation in projects that involved acquiring subsoil assets. Rustam took part in the rehabilitation procedure in relation to the largest agro-industrial complex in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Rustam is also involved in projects for supporting companies that have relocated to Kazakhstan, including: tax consultations with specialists in each fiscal area, and negotiations with the Astana Hub and Astana International Financial Center (AIFC) regulatory authorities.

In addition, Rustam's experience includes participation in litigation both in Kazakh courts and in the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA).
