Preparation of a request for arbitration and analysis of the payment method for the arbitration fee in the context of the economic sanctions

In connection with the subsequently introduced anti-Russian economic sanctions, a Swiss company announced the suspension of the performance of the contract with the client, in particular, its obligations to pay for goods. Having studied the civil and sanctions legislation and concluded that the buyer’s reference to the sanctions restrictions was unfounded, we started preparing a request for arbitration to the GAFTA arbitration institution.
