Cinemas are being warned about lawsuits if they screen the film during pre-screenings.
The world premiere of “Mortal Kombat 2” took place on May 8, and Russian cinemas have already announced unofficial screenings for the end of the month – as part of pre-screenings – but these may not take place. Meanwhile, a legal representative for Warner Bros. Pictures, which participated in the film’s production, warned against copyright infringement and possible penalties for violations.
