The energy sector was hit hardest, and lawyers note increased scrutiny of sanctions evasion: the consequences now affect not only beneficiaries but also advisors. They continue to fight for blocked assets, and Russian courts are simplifying the process, presuming harm to Euroclear and waiving the requirement to obtain licenses from foreign regulators. Major international disputes also continue: a Singapore court remanded a decision to the SIAC arbitrators, and a South African court seized Google assets to enforce a Russian ruling.
