Some Chinese suppliers and payment agents have begun to create separate legal entities in China specifically to interact with Russian partners, four sources familiar with the situation with payments to China told Vedomosti. Many large companies are setting up subsidiaries in China to work specifically for certain markets.
Complicating interactions with Chinese exporters and payment agents is becoming a common practice against the backdrop of growing sanctions, agrees Andrei Gusev, Managing Partner at Nordic Star Law Offices : “This problem is widespread, although many companies prefer not to advertise the difficulties.”
