Anna Zabrotskaya, Managing Partner at Nordic Star and Head of Dispute Resolution, participated in the 16th Annual AIJA Conference on International Arbitration, held in Helsinki from June 25 to 27, 2026.
Organized by the International Young Lawyers Association (AIJA), the event brought together three major conferences: on international arbitration, labor and immigration law, and insolvency law.
The main theme of the arbitration program was “At the Crossroads of Legal Paths: Consensus and the Common Good.”
Anna moderated the third session, “The Limits of Arbitral Authority: Parallel Proceedings, Criminal Investigations, and Cross-Jurisdictional Issues.” The session discussed how arbitral tribunals can manage external pressures and the impact of other bodies’ decisions on arbitral proceedings.
