On September 22, Moscow hosted the annual Forbes Federal Legal Forum conference for the legal community. It covered trends and tendencies in the economy, legislation and regulation, and Russia’s foreign and domestic policy that have a significant impact on the development of the Russian legal market, as well as landmark cases and litigations.
Andrei Gusev, the Managing Partner at Nordic Star, spoke in two sessions: on “Defending the interests of Russian parties in international proceedings here and now: a crash course, geopolitics and new legal opportunities” and then on “Operation ’Renaming’ – what’s in a name?”. In the first session, Andrei spoke about the difficulties that lawyers are currently facing when their cases are heard in international courts. In his second talk, he discussed the changes that have taken place within our company after the Borenius brand left the Russian legal market.
