Nordic Star Law Offices lawyers have developed and maintain competencies in EU and US sanctions regulations and regularly explain to our Russian and foreign clients the corresponding provisions of such regulations. Our work in this field comprises both an assessment of specific situations and the development of what we refer to as the ‘sanctions policies’ of companies.

• Provided legal support to a major global energy company with respect to sanctions issues relating to the supply of energy equipment
• Advised a US-based multinational public corporation regarding Russian counter sanctions; developed recommendations on how risks could be mitigated
• Conducted due diligence of the contractual relationships of a large Russian producer of pipes for main gas and oil lines from the perspective of sanctions risks; developed internal regulations on the policy of cooperation with foreign counterparties
• Delivered training courses for employees from the legal department of Abbott Pharmaceuticals on sanctions regulation
• Advised AmCham and held seminars for AmCham’s members on sanctions issues
• Checked Schneider Electric’s contractual relationships with Russian counterparties from the perspective of sanctions risks; developed recommendations for how such risks could be mitigated
• Delivered training courses for the headquarters of Wärtsila with regard to sanctions regulations; checked contractual relationships with Russian counterparties from the perspective of sanction risks
