Recent Cases
- Represented a large international financial institution that was a creditor in a plywood mill’s bankruptcy, which was commenced in 2008. In 2014, the bankruptcy procedure was completed by a new amicable agreement
- Advised a client on a potential litigation strategy in a dispute with its investment partner over several hotel development projects. The client was involved in three bankruptcy procedures, including the personal insolvency of the beneficial owner. The litigation strategy presupposed, among other things, challenging transactions in three jurisdictions: Russia, Austria and Latvia
- Represented a Finnish company selling agricultural products that was a creditor, against a Russian fisheries company in a bankruptcy case
- Represented a subsidiary of a large foreign developer in a dispute for the recovery of debts incurred in connection with the sale and purchase of a land plot. The dispute was initiated by the bankruptcy manager on behalf of the seller
- Represented a Russian subsidiary of one of the largest Swedish banks as a creditor in a bankruptcy of a large chain of petrol stations
- Represented a subsidiary of an international pharmaceutical company which is among the top 20 global leading pharmaceutical companies and was a creditor in the bankruptcy case of its Russian counterparty
- Represented a large financial corporation in a dispute with a surety, a Latvia-based industrial and commercial company, over the enforcement of an amicable agreement that was concluded within the framework of a bankruptcy case. The debt was repaid in full
