Our team represented a Russian private client in divorce proceedings in different jurisdictions

We represented a Russian private client in divorce proceedings which were initiated simultaneously in Russia and in Florida. The claims were raised in courts of both jurisdictions to have a marriage terminated and property divided (in the territory of Russia and Florida), alimony payments settled and the place of the child’s residence determined. In addition to coordinating the lawsuits in the Russian and US courts we also represented the client in a corporate dispute seeking to have the dilution of the client’s interest in the family business challenged and transactions terminated that were aimed at siphoning off the assets (represented the client in courts of general jurisdiction and in arbitral tribunals; administered litigation in foreign courts).
