Resort fee – first results and forecasts / Comment / CRE

On April 1, St. Petersburg began charging a resort fee; It is expected that the decision will extend to most other popular tourist regions in the summer. The measure may affect professional facilities in the hospitality industry, players predict: in order to maintain occupancy, hotels will begin to move into “gray” schemes, and tourists themselves will give preference to unclassified projects, apartments or apartments for daily rent.
