Meat-Packing Factory in Leningrad Region Sues over Trademarks / Comment / Delovoy Peterburg

The Vsevolozhsky Meat-Packing Factory, in the Leningrad Region and part of the Cherkizovo group, is asking the Intellectual Property Rights Court (IPRC) to terminate the protection of three trademarks in Class 29 of the International Classification of Goods and Services (ICDS): bacon, baked ham, ham, etc., the rights to which belong to Krug ZAO (Moscow). The trademarks include the word “Tyrolean”.

Vera Zotova, a Senior Associate in the Intellectual Property and Information Technology Practice at Nordic Star Law Offices, commented to Delovoy Peterburg newspaper on the reasons for such disputes.
